WordPress SEO that goes beyond plugin settings

Turn your WordPress website into a clearer search and enquiry channel. I review the content and technical setup together, then prioritize the improvements that matter to your business and your visitors.

A straightforward working process

Know what is being done.
Understand why it matters.

No mystery checklist. Your business priorities determine the SEO work.

  1. STEP 01

    Understand

Your business, customers, market and the work that is worth winning.

  2. STEP 02

    Prioritize

A research-led roadmap with a clear order, ownership and measurable goals.

  3. STEP 03

    Implement

Technical fixes, useful pages and a conversion path that works on real devices.

  4. STEP 04

    Review

Search performance and qualified inquiries, then the next set of decisions.

Find the real constraint

A WordPress site may have an SEO plugin and still struggle with unclear service pages, duplicated archives, weak internal links or a frustrating mobile experience. The starting point is the website’s actual behavior, not whether a checklist in the dashboard is green.

I review the important pages, search evidence and customer journey before proposing work. An Atlanta service business and a WooCommerce store have different structures, so the plan should reflect the site you operate rather than a generic WordPress package.

Review content types and page structure

Pages, posts, categories, tags and custom content types can all influence the public site. I examine which ones serve a useful purpose, how they are linked and whether important services or products are easy to reach.

The aim is a coherent structure that your team can maintain. We do not remove archives or change URLs simply because they exist; recommendations consider their content, existing visibility and role in helping visitors find the right information.

Coordinate themes, plugins and SEO output

Different components can control titles, canonicals, structured data and other page elements. The review checks what is actually published and whether overlapping tools create inconsistent output or unnecessary complexity.

When a change is needed, I identify the responsible setting, plugin or template and define the implementation check. Adding another plugin is not the default response to a problem that may be better resolved in the existing setup.

Improve the pages that sell your services

Technical settings support the content, but they do not explain your offer for you. I review service descriptions, project evidence, page headings and internal links so customers can understand what you do and decide how to enquire.

For architecture, interiors, furniture and construction businesses, this often involves connecting visual work with useful explanations. A project image can draw interest, while the surrounding content clarifies the service, scope and relevance to a prospective customer.

Address performance without breaking functionality

Large images, page-builder output, plugins and third-party scripts can affect the mobile experience. I review the causes on important page types and prioritize changes that can improve usability without removing features the business relies on.

Performance work should include checks of forms, menus, shopping functions and tracking after changes. A faster test result is not a successful outcome if visitors can no longer submit an enquiry or complete a transaction.

Make implementation safe and maintainable

Hands-on work is agreed with clear access, backup and deployment responsibilities. When your developer handles changes, I provide practical instructions and review the result. The process should respect the existing site rather than overwrite unrelated work.

For redesigns or platform changes, the scope can include URL preservation, redirect mapping, content checks and post-launch review. The work needs to account for the pages customers and search engines already use, not only the appearance of the new homepage.

A focused next step

Send the site, your main services or product categories and the concern you want addressed. If you know the theme, page builder or important plugins, include them, but you do not need to diagnose the issue yourself before reaching out.

I will recommend a suitable review and explain whether content, technical implementation or a broader strategy is the priority. You receive direct communication and a written scope instead of being pushed into a rebuild before the existing site has been assessed.

Clear answers before you commit

Service questions, answered

Which SEO plugin do you recommend?

The choice depends on the existing setup and requirements. We first review the current output and workflow; changing plugins is not automatically necessary.

Can you work with a page builder?

Yes, subject to the specific implementation. The review considers the templates and functions the site uses and identifies practical changes within that environment.

Do you also work on WooCommerce?

Yes. Ecommerce work adds product, category, catalogue and shopping-journey considerations to the broader WordPress review.

Will you need to rebuild the website?

Not as a default. We identify what can be improved in the current site and explain any material limitation before recommending a larger change.

Can our developer keep control?

Yes. I can provide developer-ready recommendations and validation checks while your team manages deployments and ongoing maintenance.

Can you help after a traffic drop?

Yes. Share the dates, known site changes and available search data. The investigation considers several possible causes rather than assuming WordPress or a plugin is responsible.
