Decide whether Performance Max is the right tool
Performance Max is not a substitute for understanding who buys, what makes an enquiry worthwhile or which products can be delivered profitably. Before recommending it, we look at the offer, conversion history, website, service area and available advertising assets. If those foundations are missing, a focused Search campaign or measurement work may be the more useful first step.
For an existing campaign, the review starts with what it is optimizing toward. A growing count of low-quality form submissions is not a satisfactory outcome simply because the dashboard looks efficient.
Give the campaign goals that reflect real value
We review the conversion actions used for bidding and reporting, including purchases, submitted enquiries and other interactions. Small engagement events should not accidentally become equivalent to a sale. Duplicate or unreliable events can distort the learning process and make an apparent improvement difficult to trust.
A furniture store and a custom home builder need different definitions of value. Where verified transaction values or qualified-lead outcomes are available, we consider how to use them appropriately. We do not manufacture conversion values to make a bidding strategy appear more sophisticated.
Structure assets around distinct offers
Asset groups should present an understandable offer, supported by suitable pages and approved creative. We review copy, photography, product information and other available materials to identify gaps. Architecture, interiors and furniture businesses can often start with real project and product images rather than an invented team or stock testimonial.
You do not need to claim that you have a video library. If there is no approved video, the plan states that limitation and checks the platform settings and generated-asset behavior before launch. New creative production is a separate agreed task.
Review product data before increasing spend
For retailers, advertising quality depends partly on the accuracy of the catalog it uses. We review the relationship between product feeds, website information, availability, price and destination pages. Misleading availability or a broken product page can waste the opportunity created by an otherwise relevant advertisement.
A showroom-led furniture business may need appointments or consultations as well as online orders. We distinguish those journeys instead of treating the entire catalog as a simple direct-to-consumer checkout funnel. The measurement plan should describe which outcomes are actually observable.
Apply controls without pretending automation is exact targeting
Search themes provide information about what your customers may search for; they are not a promise that the campaign will run only against that exact keyword list. We review the available search controls, exclusions, brand settings and destination rules in the account, checking the current behavior of each setting.
Atlanta coverage should match the territory you can serve. Branded demand and new-customer discovery should also be interpreted separately where the available reporting permits it. We do not call all attributed conversions new demand without examining the overlap.
Read results in context
Our review considers spending, conversion quality, available search and channel reporting, product performance and the business follow-up process. Changes in the campaign are documented alongside changes to the website or offer so that several moving parts do not become a misleading success story.
Platform reporting has limits. Where a comparison cannot establish whether the campaign created additional sales, we say so. The aim is a better management decision, not a presentation that turns every fluctuation into a confident causal claim.
Request a focused PMax review
Send your website, the type of outcome you want and whether you sell online, through a showroom or by consultation. For an existing campaign, describe the problem in business terms: unsuitable enquiries, uncertain attribution, product exclusions or spend that is difficult to explain.
We return a written scope covering the audit, necessary access, changes to consider and reporting expectations. Campaign management does not include an assumed media budget, promised ROAS or a guarantee that every business should use this format.
